World’s 12 Most Expensive Christmas Trees
The average person spends a lot of money at Christmastime, so is it any surprise that the fabulously rich go all out for the Yuletide season too? There’s no better way to show off your good fortune and spread a little holiday joy than with a fully decked out Christmas tree. Here are some of the world’s brightest, best and most expensive trees.
Clairidge’s Burberry Tree
Some people prefer to go the more traditional route when it comes to Christmas décor, but Clairidge’s Hotel in London decided to go full couture with their 2015 tree. Constructed from over 100 gold and silver umbrellas, the “tree” also boasts 77,000 interactive lights that are triggered when guests walk past. Although the value of the tree is unknown, we can only imagine how much it must be worth considering how much Burberry charges for clothing.
The “Perfect Christmas Tree” in Chagrin Falls, OH
Would you shell out $2,500 for what is thought to be the perfect tree? Breezewood Gardens, a nursery in Chagrin Falls, OH claimed to have found the ideal 18-foot Fraser fir in 2012 and were asking several thousands of dollars for the specimen. We’re not sure we’d be willing to pay that price, but you have to admit, it’s a nice looking tree.
A Pre-lit Pink Tree
Who doesn’t love kitschy Christmas décor? If you want to achieve that ‘60s look this holiday, you need to get yourself this pre-lit, pre-tinseled 4-foot tall pink Christmas tree, available on Amazon for the low price of only $9,993.50. Really. For nearly ten grand, you too can have a hideous tree that you’ll likely grow tired of after just one year. It’s also got flame-retardant needles so don’t bother trying to “accidentally” set it on fire to be rid of the thing.
