Top 20 Richest WWE Stars of 2015
14. Rey Mysterio ($8.5 million)
Rey Mysterio has spent his long and illustrious career moving back and forth between top promotions in Mexico and the United States, so it’s no huge surprise that he has multiple millions of dollars banked. It is a little surprising that he’s so close to double digits (and ahead of luminaries like Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler) given that he spent most of the last seven years in WWE either on the shelf with injuries or in non-title feuds.
Mysterio’s relationship with WWE has formally ended, and he’s currently performing for AAA in Mexico, the federation that he started out with way back in 1992. He’s also got an autobiography out and does a little rapping from time to time.
13. Kevin Nash ($8 million)
While most of the former NWO hasn’t come out so well in the long run, Big Daddy Sexy Cool Diesel (sorry, can’t keep track of all his nicknames) has kept his stuff together and kept a cool eight million in the bank. While he’s back under contract with WWE after a long stint at TNA, his appearances are rare, most recently showing up at WrestleMania 31 to inexplicably support Sting.
He’s also had an on-and-off side gig as a heavy in movies, most notably in The Punisher and John Wick. He’s a staple character in the annual WWE video games, too, which presumably nets him some royalties.
12. Jerry “The King” Lawler ($7 million)
Most of Lawler’s actual wrestling career was conducted outside of the WWE, but he’s been a commentator with the company since forever and usually finds some way to get himself into the ring at least a couple of times each year. The King’s perseverance with WWE has been rewarded with a fortune of seven million to call his own.
One thing that isn’t well known about Lawler is that he’s a trained graphic artist and works in a professional capacity. He’s even designed some of the graphics the WWE uses. He also ran for mayor of Memphis back in 1999, but was beaten by the incumbent.
