The Lux of Pucks: 21 Most Impressive NHL Homes

18. Trevor Linden

Instead of building his own mansion, Linden grabbed a place in Whistler and completely renovated the townhouse. What resulted is the five story home where he can spend his retirement years. The home has a modern take on a traditional ski chalet home. With a floating staircase and stainless steel fixtures, anyone would be able to relax. The vaulted ceilings allow almost floor to ceiling windows to let the light in.

It also gives you a spectacular view of the surrounding forest area. There are no outrageous colors to deter from the natural beauty of the location. Like other houses on the list, Linden will have plenty of room to entertain as there is a nice driveway to hold all the guests.

17. Mike Fisher

The man known as Mr. Carrie Underwood recently sold his home in Ottawa. This home was located on 11 acres of land. It boasts a five bedroom and five bath interior with a massive deck out the back. To relax, the couple included a hot tub on the deck. If you want privacy, look no further. It is a gated property and with all that land, you will have peace and quiet. To enhance the house, there is stone work throughout.

During the cold winters, you can lay by the fireplace in your master suite and enjoy the view. Like other houses, this house contains not only a gym but a home theater system. Depending on how lazy or motivated you wanted to be, there is something to do. Finally, if you need space, there are plenty of walk-in closets to help you manage your storage.

16. Jeff Carter

Carter decided to make an oasis for himself in Hermosa Beach, California. With plenty of rooms for visiting teammates, Carter’s would be the place to go. Just choose between the 6 bedrooms and 5 baths. (Yes, two teammates might have to share a bathroom — the horror!)

To entertain his teammates or guests, Carter has a dance floor in his lower living room which lights up. Add it to the wet bar and you have your own club — without the annoying drunk girls. For Carter, he can enjoy a nice drink at his private bar before heading outside to the patio.

If you don’t feel like cooking inside to enjoy the food outside, don’t worry! Carter has a custom kitchen built outside for entertaining. Living close to the beach has its advantages; however, Carter doesn’t live directly on the beach. He would just need to walk a block to enjoy a nice afternoon near the ocean. He can see the ocean from the bedroom, though.
