The Best Adult Advent Calendars for 2018
One of the best parts about the holidays is the excitement leading up to the festive day. If you celebrate Christmas, the Advent season starts on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day but is often simplified on calendars so they start it on December 1st. These calendars used to track the days of prayer, but now they’re used to cultivate an air of excitement, especially for children since it really helps to visualize the time left until the holiday begins.
Many stores now sell their own versions of Advent calendars, which are usually a simple rectangular shape with perforated windows that hide a small piece of chocolate. However, some stores are now selling upscale Advent calendars geared to adults that feature small bottles of alcohol, beauty supplies, or other treats.
Here are the best adult Advent calendars of 2018.
Funko Pop Harry Potter
Funko Pop is the company behind the adorable square-headed miniatures that have recently started appearing everywhere. They have figurines that range in price from $5 to around $35, and specialize in pop culture figures like Groot, Jon Snow, Spider-Man, and more.
This year, they’re releasing a Harry Potter themed Advent calendar, with 24 miniatures from the Harry Potter universe. It’s retailinhasn’t56.99, and although the figures that will appear in the calendar hasn’t yet been fully revealed, you can expect to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, and maybe even Hedwig!

DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea
Popular loose-leaf tea brand DAVIDsTEA has a history of offering fantastic Advent calendars that are perfect for tea-lovers. They try and keep the contents under wraps every year, but this year’s calendar was announced in August, and it promises to be just as lovely and varied as last year. The teas in their Advent calendars are always Christmas and winter-themed. Last year, they had flavors like The Spice is Right, Santa’s Secret, Sleigh Ride, and Saigon Chai. The miniatures are packaged in a colorful cardboard chest of drawers, and each day’s tea comes in an adorable tin.

Godiva Chocolate Advent Calendar
When we were kids, that little square of Advent calendar chocolate was a real treat. Now, as adults, we can see that most kid’s Advent calendars are made with low-quality chocolate that contains way more sugar than actual cocoa solids. That’s why we need the Godiva Chocolate Advent Calendar, a gourmet treat that features luxury milk chocolate squares, and fun, seasonal shapes in white, milk, and dark chocolate.
It’s on sale now and is currently retailing for $25. Godiva is selling them on their website and through Amazon.
