X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)

This superhero flick was filmed in Vancouver, and it was the biggest production at the time to be filmed in Canada – it was also the most expensive film to be made at the time. As the third installment in the X-Men series, it saw Hugh Jackman and the rest of the cast reprise their roles.

It sees the X-Men fighting against Magneto once again. The discovery of an antidote to mutations causes lines to be drawn, as the general population encourage mutants to rid themselves of their powers. The film was met with mixed reception. The action scenes and acting were praised, while the screenplay was criticized and the lack of diversity in the large cast was a problem.
