20 Most Cringeworthy Celebrity Press Moments

Being a celebrity is a pretty cushy job; you make lots of money, you’re given tons of free stuff and you get treated like a god everywhere you go. However, one of the more difficult aspects of the job is having to always be “on,” especially in front of the press, which some celebs handle better than others. Here are 20 awkward celebrity press moments which will make you glad that you never have to get up and speak in front of a room full of reporters.

Jennifer Lawrence

We thought J-Law could do no wrong — until the press conference that followed her 2015 Golden Globe win, that is. Lawrence rudely scolded a journalist for reading a question off his phone – forgetting that he was a member of the foreign press, meaning that he was likely using his phone to translate. Way to be a bully, Jennifer.

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods came out with his tail between his legs to issue a tearful public apology following his 2010 infidelity scandal. After it was revealed that Woods cheated on his wife with dozens of mistresses, the golfer stumbled through a statement saying he was “deeply sorry” and that at least he never used performance enhancing drugs. You’ve got that going for you, Tiger!

Hugh Grant

Romantic comedy lead Hugh Grant looked a little less cute and puppy dog-eyed after he got caught cheating on sex goddess Elizabeth Hurley with a prostitute in 1995. Grant’s mug shot was splashed across the tabloids, forcing him to go on The Tonight Show and explain to Jay Leno that he “did a bad thing and there you have it.”
