14 Most Hated Celebs Everyone Used to Love
It doesn’t take much for a celebrity to fall off their pedestal in the public eye. Poor behavior, accusations, and arrests can turn America’s sweetheart into America’s Most Hated Celeb in the blink of an eye (Bill Cosby, we’re looking at you). Unfortunately, when it comes to fame and celebrity, public perception can make or break you.
Here are some hated celebrities we used to love.
Miley Cyrus started out as the cute daughter of that country guy who sings “Achy Breaky Heart.” Then she was that cute kid on Hannah Montana. Now she’s the girl who chopped off her gorgeous, wavy hair in favor of a shaved pixie cut, who demonstrated her twerking technique on Robin Thicke at the VMAs prompting he and his wife, Paula Patton, to divorce, and posts absurd pictures to Instagram on the reg.
Many parents have hated on Miley Cyrus for disowning her “job” as a role model to young children, though Miley insists she never asked for that responsibility. In addition to those minor things, there are probably some girls who are threatened by her total comfort in her own skin, which she is never afraid of flaunting (“Wrecking Ball,” anyone?).
Mel Gibson might be known for his movies Passion of the Christ and Braveheart, but he’s also more infamously known for his racist rant which involved dropping the N-word and making anti-Semitic remarks on the record. You can see all of his notorious quotes in one place, here.
50 women and counting. Need we say more? Bill Cosby, known for his role as beloved dad Dr. Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show, crushed the perception of millions when more than 50 women came forward to accuse him of sexual assault in 2015, including Janice Dickinson and Beverly Johnson. Cosby returns to court on February 2nd in hopes of having his case dismissed.
