11 Embarrassing Celebrity TV Shows That Were Canceled Pretty Much Instantly

It takes a pretty good producer to be able to rein in a celebrity who has their heart set on TV stardom. There is precedent for shows to succeed, shows like Dog the Bounty Hunter, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and The Osbournes had tons of viewers and ran for years. These shows managed to mix the star’s celebrity status with a healthy dose of drama, plus good editing, and have succeeded in their market. Other shows have not been as lucky, and were cancelled pretty much immediately upon airing.

1. Kocktails with Khloé

Kocktails with Khloé first aired in January of 2016 on the FYI channel, and was produced by Khloé Kardashian. The talk show was designed to showcase Khloé as the host in an intimate, homey environment, chatting casually with her guests as if they were just friends in her home. Unfortunately for her, the format was awkward and the show tanked after just eight episodes. Her next attempt at hosting a TV show is Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian, which is set to premiere on E! Entertainment Television.

2. The Hasselhoffs

Cancelled after only two episodes, David Hasselhoff’s reality TV show called The Hasselhoffs was a straight up disaster. The premise was to capture a day in the life of David Hasselhoff and his family each week, but after the show’s promo aired, it was clear that whatever they were offering, America just wasn’t buying. The last time people cared about David Hasselhoff, he was running around shirtless on a beach. No one was interested in his life back then, and now he’s not even an A list celeb.

3. Anchorwoman

The creepy premise of this show was that it took a “celebrity”- former Miss New York and WWE hostess Lauren Jones- and threw her into a job in a small town that she had absolutely no qualifications for. The show was supposed to be funny, but it just came across as mean-spirited and sexist. In episode after episode, the audience watched as Jones’ co-workers made cracks behind her back about her ineptitude and appearance. The show was cancelled after two episodes.
